Tens of thousands of students apply to Oxford and Cambridge every year, meaning that on average, five students compete for every place, so there is no guarantee of success for even the brightest applicants. Admissions decisions are preceded by a rigorous selection process to assess students’ academic ability and potential as these elite institutions seek the most able and best qualified students from every background and every part of the world.
The highly competitive entrance procedure means that pupils need more than just good grades to get a place at these prestigious universities. At Illuminate Tutors, as former Oxbridge students ourselves, we are all highly qualified subject specialists with many years of expertise in Oxbridge preparation.
We know how to prepare pupils for success: We can offer bespoke, tailor-made sessions for aspiring Oxbridge Mathematicians, Economists or Physics students. This includes working on STEP, MAT, PAT, TMUA, ENGAA, NSAA, Thinking Skills Assessment and Economics Admission Assessment materials. Additionally, we are happy to help develop and enhance students’ personal statements as well as organise practice mock interviews to maximise pupil success. We are fortunate to possess a large Mathematics and Economics library and we actively encourage our Economics students to borrow books, free of charge.
Cost per session per hour is £90. Payment is normally made by bank transfer at the start of each month for that month. Occasional lessons may be paid for by cash at the end of the session. See terms and conditions.
