I wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you have done for A to date. He always really enjoys his sessions with you and values your help. As well as helping him to fill the gaps that had arisen during the period prior to you seeing him, the support, encouragement and affirmation you have given him have done wonders for his self belief and self esteem – I can’t thank you enough. I really hope that he continues his upward trajectory as he progresses through A level maths.

(Mrs LS, parents of Y11 Mathematics student)

A huge thanks from us. Thank you very much for all the dedication and hard work you’ve put into teaching H over these past couple of years. No matter how he performs in his exams, we know that he’s had the best possible support and that he’s put in his very best effort, and for that, we are truly grateful.

(Mr & Mrs ND, parents of Y13 Economics student)

Thanks for everything these past two years.  It’s been endearing for us to watch M these past two years really enjoying his economics.  It feels like it really is the right subject for him to take forward, and no doubt you’ve played a significant part in that.  Thanks for all your expertise and guidance, we are greatly appreciative.

(Mr DH, father of Y13 Economics student)

Thank you thank you thank you! He got that A and you really helped him achieve it.

(Mrs KR, mother of Y13 Economics student)

Thank you so much for all the support, patience and expert guidance!! We all appreciate you both so much.

(Mrs IN, mother of Y13 A level Maths & Physics student)

Thank you so much for all your support, encouragement and enthusiasm over the last year. It has made such a difference.

(Mrs CW, mother of Y13 A level Maths student)

Thanks so much for all your help again! You’ve been absolutely amazing for both my boys! They’ve both enjoyed working with you.I have a 12 year old daughter. May call on your services in a few years if she opts for economics. Lol. Many thanks again.
Enjoy your summer. X

(Mrs SB, mother of Y13 Economics and Maths A level student(s))

I just wanted to say a big thank you for all the help and support you have given E over the past few years and especially this past year for her A-Level and Cambridge entrance examinations.
You were much more than a maths tutor at times! I think she has told you she got an A* – huge thanks.

(Mrs FM, mother of Y13 A Level Mathematician)

You have been such an inspiration to E and get the highest compliment a teenager can give….’He is so cool’.

We are over the moon that E has received 3 A* predicted grades, so now she has a real shot at Cambridge. However, the hard work is not done, as you will well know and we now have to keep her motivated to work extra hard if she is to achieve her aspirations.

(Mrs GE, mother of Y12 Physics & Further Maths student)

I would like to take this opportunity, now that the GCSEs are over, to thank you for your work with M. He has grown massively in confidence in Maths and Physics with your help. I remember in lockdown when he had to do a timed assessment that ended in tears and frustration and a disappointing mark. He came out of the Maths papers this summer however feeling happy with what he’d been able to answer and more confident to “have a go” at the things he was less sure on.

(Mrs NB, mother of Physics and Maths Y11 GCSE student)

I’d like to thank you again, Michelle, for all the maths lessons throughout the years – they really helped and enabled to enter the exams (both gcse and a levels) with much more confidence that I would have had otherwise?

(Mr NR, Y13 Mathematics student)

Hi Stephen
I cannot thank you and Michelle enough for your tireless patience and support over the last few years. You are fabulous teachers with boundless energy and have instilled a love of learning, a passion for maths and physics but most importantly, confidence. Both A and L always enjoyed their sessions with you. Thank you so much for everything. We will be in touch on results day!

(Mrs S M, mother of Economics, Physics and Further Maths A Level students)

I wanted to let you know the great news about A’s recent Maths exams results – I know he is very keen to let you know too tomorrow!

A is very pleased with these results and so are we!

Thank you for working with him on his problem solving skills and exam technique Stephen. Your nurturing approach is really helping him develop in his Maths ability and is greatly appreciated.

(Mrs NC, mother of a Y8 Maths student)

I just wanted to let you know that I is thriving at Bristol university and has passed all of her first assessments with flying colours. It made me reflect on how different it might have been if she hadn’t made that maths grade as she would not have been accepted to the Economics degree that she is very clearly suited to. Thank you so much again for your help and encouragement of I and especially for helping her to believe in herself again. I will always be grateful and I am so happy that I has the chance to reach her full potential.

(Mrs L K, mother of a Y13 Mathematics and Economics A Level student)

This seems to be the first opportunity that I have had to sit down with no one else in the house since E got her GCSE results.

I cannot tell you how grateful we are for the support that you have given her over the years, especially through the turbulent times of Covid and in the lead up to her examinations. Maths was never a favourite of hers, so to leave with a 7 surpassed all hopes. Thank you.

The rest of her results were wonderful, she ended up with 2 7s, 3 8s and 5 9s. Amazing. It’s given her so much confidence going forward, not least she also interviewed for, and got, a new Saturday job as well.

She’s started in VIth form today, studying politics, history and classics. You’ve been a very formative part of her teenage life over the years, and although I appreciate she’s not always been the most positive of students with maths, her time with you has been more than worth it.

With very best wishes for the future, and my continued recommendation,

(Mrs J H, Mother of Year 11 Maths GCSE student)

Just a quick note to say a huge thank you for helping C, he couldn’t believe he got an A for economics. It was a C from his mocks in Jan. He said his school didn’t help him much, it was all down to you! You have changed his life and made him realise he has potential……he is so happy! Thank you so much! Xx

(Mrs YS, Mother of Year 13 Economics A Level student)

Thank you both so much for being so supportive of me and for always believing in me, I am going to miss Maths and Physics lessons with you both. I am so happy with my results. A* in Mathematics and A in Physics!!

(Mr R B, Year 13 Mathematics and Physics A Level student)

Thank you so much for your support of E. A B is something to be proud of! Not your easiest of student, I’m sure. Always hard when they are so laid back (almost horizontal). He is so happy and could not have done it without your support. Thank you also for being my best virtual parent/partner and always showing how much you cared. E truly appreciated that. He had a genuine connection with you.

(Mrs O H, Mother of Year 13 Economics A Level student)

Hi Michelle, just wanted to say thank you again for all your work with H over the years….He worked so hard for his A levels and he is chuffed to bits with the results and I know that with your help he achieved that A* ?
I thought it quite telling when you were the first person he rang this morning to tell his results, he knew how proud (as we are) of everything he has accomplished………What a great relationship you have with H (& G) you just get their personalities and guide them accordingly to get the best from them.
Thanks again

(Mrs Z K, Mother of Year 13 Economics A Level and former GCSE Mathematics student)

(Mr CS, Year 13 Economics A Level student)

……considering she wasn’t even likely to pass when u first started seeing her…..She has a smile on her face today. It’s nice to have choice now.
Can’t thank you enough – more than happy to recommend you and leave reviews. You are an amazing, very invested tutor with tremendous patience and teaching style.

(Mrs MT, Mother of a Y13 Mathematics A Level student)

I can’t believe E got 3 A*s in his A levels! There is no way he would have done so in Economics without your expert tutoring. Thanks so much for squeezing in some invaluable Maths lessons too. You gave him the tools, the knowledge and the confidence. Thanks so much…….considering Economics was his weakest subject before he started lessons with you, the breakdown of his Economics marks shows that it actually ended up being his strongest. That’s some impressive turnaround!

(Mrs E C, mother of a Y13 A level Economics & Mathematics student)

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you helping my son T with his preparation for his A Levels
I am extremely grateful for your time and patience with him
.

(Mr KC, father of a Y13 Physics and Mathematics A Level student)

Dear Stephen, I wanted to write to you to say thank you. A year ago coming out of lock down A was shaking and crying before and during her maths exams. This year she was calm and collected. She just came home beaming. She was able to have a go at all her GCSE questions. She said that her being able to tackle the questions towards the end of the paper were completely down to you.
I couldn’t be happier seeing her like that. Thank you for helping her rebuild her confidence.

(Mrs K C, mother of a Y11 GCSE Mathematics student)

Hi Michelle! Thank you so so much for your kind words . That means so much . You have been amazing with M who went from hiding and not wanting to go to maths to actually enjoying it ?What a fantastic job you do and it must be so rewarding ☺️

(Mrs TB, mother of a Y11 GCSE Mathematics student)

Hi Michelle. I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for all your help over the last year – you have been absolutely amazing in helping me improve in maths and grow my confidence. Today’s exam went well! I’d say it was the hardest of the 3 for me, but I gave it a good go! Thank you so so so much for everything

(MB, Y11 GCSE Mathematics student)

Thank you- She has done brilliantly as her confidence has grown and she sees she really can do it! ?
You have been a part of that confidence boost so a big thanks to you

(Mrs F M, mother of Year 12 Mathematics student)

I cannot believe how much M has come on with you . It really is quite remarkable . You are amazing . I am so grateful for all your help. What a rewarding job you have plus I have the utmost respect for anyone that is a genius in maths ! Ha ha

(Mrs TB, mother of Year 11 Mathematics student)

Feel very sad that this is the last invoice I will be paying (well you know what I mean!).  Thank you so much for all you have done for L and J, they both really enjoyed their tuition time with you and I don’t think you can ask for more than that in a subject they haven’t loved.
I will let you know how she gets on in August.

(Mrs JT, parent of Y11 Mathematics students)

Thank you so much for all your help you have given O – you have really helped boost his confidence and he has come on leaps and bounds since he began tuition.

(Mrs R M, parent of a Y11 Mathematics student)

S was naturally delighted with her A* mock result, especially as she felt Pure hadn’t gone as well as she expected.  I feel it was really well deserved as she’s been working so consistently and the help she has had from you in ironing out anything she hasn’t understood has been invaluable.  I know she’ll continue to apply herself for the summer exam, so hope she does herself justice again.

Thank you so much for continuing to make a difference in your very supportive manner.

(Mrs  DB, parent of a Y13 Mathematics student)

Many thanks Michelle, and for your part in helping E with her maths and GCSEs. You have helped her believe in herself more in addition to helping her with her maths – both of which have boosted her confidence 🙂

(Mrs F M, parent of a Y11 Mathematics student)

Huge thank you for all you have done for A. We are so thrilled and you (and Stephen – to whom I will message separately) had a huge contribution in keeping him focused on the content, extending him and showing him how to learn with fun. Additionally it is not lost on me that A achieved 4 out of 5 offers (Oxford’s loss ?) and I do feel the your contribution in helping him structure and focus on his strengths and interests in his personal statement, had a great influence in this success. Thank you so so much!

(Mrs A M, parent of a Year 13 Economics, Further Mathematics & Physics student)

Yay!!!! J & M got fabulous results in both their A levels and GCSEs.
Thank you Stephen – you are an absolute superstar. You and your wife really are the dream team of tutors, my children could not have achieved these grades without your incredible tuition and support. Thank you so much.

(Mrs S S, parent of both Y13 Maths, Physics & Economics student & Y11 Maths and Physics student)

Hello Stephen,
E got 4A*s that he is delighted with.  Thank you so much for all your support this last year- I know he found both your tuition and general counsel very valuable indeed.

(Mrs F M, parent of Y13 Further Maths & Physics student)

Dear Michelle,

Thank you so much for being such an amazing, supportive, and encouraging maths tutor.  You have helped me improve my maths exponenetially over the past few years and I would never have been able to achieve the grade that I did without your help and guidance.  Maths may never be my favourite subject, but I can certainly say it is no longer one I need to fear of dread (and may even occasionally enjoy!).  Once again, thank you so much.

(Miss GC, Y11 Mathematics student)

Just wanted to say thank you so much for all the amazing help and positive reinforcement you have given G since she began with you, culminating in her final session last week.  She thought the maths paper went fairly well (which is saying something for her to say that!)

(Mrs L C,  parent of a Y11 Mathematics student)

Thanks for being so wonderful over the past year.  I can honestly say I would be nowhere close to where I am today without your guidance!

(Mr O H, Y13 Economics student)

You have been an amazing help to O over the past 1.5 years – from when he was struggling with the concepts through to now, where he feels very confident with the subject.  He texted you after the exam before he even spoke with us, which shows how much he appreciates your help.

(Mrs N Z, parent of an Economics Y13 student)

I just wanted to say a big thank you for all you have done for A during these tough times. He has greatly benefited from your excellent tuition and we both really appreciate your support and commitment.

(Mrs A R, parent of a Mathematics Y13 student)

You have been a tower of support for J and we cannot thank you enough.

(Mrs V M, parent of an Economics Y13 student)

You can only imagine how absolutely delighted I am for him to attain an A* in his exams and the progress he has made – he could not have done it without you Michelle. We should remember that just over one year ago he got a “U” in Economics and the school told him that if he worked hard he might get a “D”. Thank you so much. 🙂

(Mr W B, parent of an Economics Y13 student)

You have certainly had a huge impact on S, equipping her with the confidence and skills to achieve her best, for which we are truly grateful. I know S will miss you.

(Mrs F C, parent of a Y11 GCSE Mathematics student)

I can’t tell you how appreciative I am of all the help that Michelle and yourself [Stephen] have given to S.  You have both encouraged him so much, and given him so much confidence and knowledge, that he has learnt to fly in the field of Maths. If only I could show you what he was like up until age 12 or so, I used to cry with despair and think he had inherited my complete lack of ability with Maths.  Now I don’t even understand what the words mean what he talks about what he is doing!!!!!

(Mrs L M, parent of a Y13 Further Mathematician)

Dear Michelle and Stephen,

I’m pleased to let you know that I got my grades that I required to get into Warwick (A*AA).
I wanted to thank you both for all the help you have given me over the last 2 years, especially to stay on top of the course which turned out to be very important given the overall assessment process that was used this year.  Apart from the help with the subject matter, you gave me the confidence in my mathematical abilities and the right frame of mind to handle my tests.

(Mr AJ, Year 13 Further Mathematics and Economics student)

A speaks very highly of his tuition with you [Stephen] and Michelle.  I’m so glad he has you both through this time of home schooling.  We are very lucky!

(Mrs B M, parent of a Year 12 Economics, Further Maths & Physics student)

R has loved working with you and has gained so much confidence not only in maths but in her own ability.  I am disappointed she won’t get a chance to prove how far she has come but appreciate that the results are only one aspect of that learning curve and believe she is in a good space to start her A Levels.

(Mrs F, parent of a Year 11 Mathematics student)

Just wanted to say thank you…..G came out of the session absolutely buzzing!! He said that was the best maths lesson he’s ever had!!  It’s so good to see a bit of enthusiasm coming back for the subject, so we are absolutely delighted.

(Mrs Z K, parent of a Year 9 Mathematics student)

Dear Michelle and Stephen

Please find attached K’s school progress report. I cannot thank you enough for your guidance, patience, mentoring and absolute commitment in tutoring my son. This is the best set results K has ever produced because you have brought the best out of him.

(Mrs B K, parent of Year 13 A level Economics, Maths and Physics student)

A got a 9 in Maths and A* in Further Maths.  Thank you so much for your help and encouragement.  Priceless!

(Mrs B M, parent of Year 11 GCSE and Further Maths student)

A huge thanks for all the support you gave to R, instilling both confidence and knowledge for the exams.  He got an A*.  We are so thrilled and grateful to you.  It would not have been possible without you.  As a result he has ‘adjusted’ his course option at Bath to do straight Economics

(Mrs J.U, parent of Year 13 A Level Economics student)

C secured her place at LSE and gained 3 As in her A Levels.  We really appreciate the support and help both Michelle and Stephen gave to C.  Their input was invaluable for C to achieve her goal. They are both professional and knowledgeable and we regard them highly.

(Mrs G.B, parent of Year 13 A Level Economics & Maths student)

Thank you so much for helping me get that A I so desperately wanted!! I’m absolutely over the moon and still can’t believe I actually did it! Of course, I couldn’t have done it without you and I’m so grateful for all the help and support you gave me!

(Miss S J, Year 14 Mathematics student)

Dear Michelle and Stephen

Thank you so much for all your help over these last two years.  Your constant patience and kindness in teaching has made an immense difference to my studies in A-levels. I can honestly say that in around 15 years of school education, you are both the most inspiring teachers I have ever had. Thank you for doing the incredible work you do, because it makes a huge difference to students like me.

(Miss C D, Year 13 A Level Economics & Maths student)

Where do I start?!  Thank you so so so much for everything you’ve done for me over the past 2 years and for helping me so much with my maths!  I’ll always be grateful for the huge amount of support and encouragement you give me all the time and you’ve definitely helped me grow so much in confidence (in my maths ‘ability’) and as a person!! Will definitely miss our maths sessions and seeing you on a weekly basis!

(Miss S S-J, A level Maths student)

Thank you so much for helping me with my maths over the last year! I felt really prepared for the exams, so hopefully they went well! Thankfully no more hypothesis tests to do a for a while!

(Miss A.M, Year 13  A Level Maths student)

To Michelle and Stephen,

I just wanted to say a massive thank for for helping me so much with both my maths and economics over the past couple of months. You have taught me so much and really helped boost my confidence, and you somehow made 8am tutoring enjoyable! Hopefully it will all pay off on results day!

Thank you again, M.

(Miss M.B, Year 13  A Level Maths & Economics student)

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to both you [Stephen] and Michelle for the work you’ve both put in for M. He’s so much more confident with his maths now, it’s been a real step change and of course we’ll definitely let you know his results in August. Hope you both have a great summer.

(Mr and Mrs A O’B, parents of Y 13 A Level Further Maths student)

Dear Stephen, E and I are so happy with all the help and support you have given her.  I would always be happy to recommend you, and score you a perfect 10/10 rating as a superstar tutor. You have been amazing and E has really enjoyed coming for lessons with you.

(Mrs K W, mother of Y13 A Level Further Maths and Physics student)

I am so pleased that I found you to tutor E, someone she truly respects.  Regardless of the result in the summer E has met someone who believed in her ability, something that will stay with her for life.

(Mrs S M, mother of Y13 A Level maths student)

For our part, I cannot thank you enough for sparking a love of maths in A. I had long suspected that he had a very high aptitude in Maths but his confidence in the subject had taken a knocking over the years …… We’re delighted at how alive becomes when he talks about maths. We will definitely be in touch with his results.

(Mrs B M, mother of Y11 GCSE maths student)

Thank you so so much for all the help you offered me this year.  I am so lucky to have had you as a tutor and really appreciate how patient and understanding you were throughout the year…..Our chats will be sorely missed as will the words of encouragement!  Thank you again.

(Miss R T-T, Y14 A Level maths student)

Michelle and Stephen both did a marvellous job of keeping my son engaged and on-task during his ‘A’ level retake year.  As his confidence grew, so did his enthusiasm for mathematics.  He is now going to study a subject at university which has a substantial mathematics content and is able to feel confident that he has the skills, problem-solving tools and persistence to succeed in it.

(Mrs L B, mother of Y14  A Level  maths student)

Stephen is an excellent tutor; he has worked magic with my daughter who has achieved an 8 in her maths GCSE, despite a prediction of 6 from school. Thank you so much.

(Mrs Y S, mother of Year 11 GCSE maths student)

I just had to get a card and write to you to express my absolute gratitude.  You did more for me than any person ever could.  In helping me gain confidence in maths or just in myself, our chats after lessons meant and still do mean so much to me and I am eternally grateful for them and the impact you had on me.  I definitely wouldn’t have been able to get that grade in maths if it weren’t for you and the confidence you inspired in me.  So thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I hope you will go on to help others just like you helped me as without you I wold be a very different person today.  People always talk about the teachers that they owe their success in education or success as a person too; well Mrs Moore for me that person is you.  You did more for me than any person ever could.

(Miss I G, Year 11 GCSE Maths student)

Before starting maths tutoring with Michelle, I was falling behind at school and struggled to keep up with the rest of my class.  Each session we went through key areas and exam questions at my pace, which greatly improved my confidence and ability.  She is an incredibly kind and patient tutor, without whose help I would not have achieved the maths grade I needed for university.

(Miss L E, Year 13 Mathematics student)

I worked with Michelle during Year 13 in preparation for my maths A-level. She was a fantastic tutor, very good explaining concepts and very supportive. I really looked forward to my weekly session with her.  With her help and guidance I was able to achieve a high A grade in my final exams, which seemed like a challenge at the start of the year. Thank you Michelle.

(Miss N M, Year 13 Mathematics student)

Thank you for all your help.  I have really enjoyed doing maths with you! I am really pleased with my result [at A Level] and I could not have achieved it without you!  Thank you so much.

(Miss A B, Year 13 Mathematics student)

Thank you so much for working so well with our son. He made the enormous leap in a year from a D to his final A level grade of an A. This is due to you inspiring him to work so hard and providing him with the essay writing skills he lacked. We are so glad we chose you to tutor him and would not hesitate to recommend other parents to do the same.

(Mrs R P-J, mother of Year 13 Economics student)

Thanks for all your hard work – when he first met you, he really did not like Economics.  However you pulled him on so much that he ended up loving the subject and will now be reading Business Economics at university.  You have been truly amazing!

(Mrs V G, mother of Year 13 Economics student)

Maths was the only non-arts A level I took.  It was a struggle and without Michelle’s patience and skill set I would not have achieved the A grade I did.  The one-on-one teaching solidified the quality and ethic of my work, ultimately opening up endless opportunities for me come September.

(Miss R D, Year 13 Mathematics student)

We cannot thank you enough. To move from an E grade last year to a B this year!  It would not have happened without your encouragement and support.  Many, many thanks!

(Mrs S K, mother of Year 13 Economics student)

I got the grade for my firm choice….thank you for all your help along the way; I wouldn’t have been able to get there without you.

(Mr B C, Year 13 Economics student)

I hope you are well and you have continued with your amazing success in giving your students such brilliant teaching.  Please find attached a reference from me and G:

I found Michelle through FB site and contacted her regarding my dilemma with my son who has autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia.  I was struggling with the school, then college to get him the appropriate teaching to get him through his maths GCSE. He had several attempts and missed the boat each time.  Michelle assessed him and gave an honest opinion on our chances of getting him through his exam.  She got him down to a tee and was a total godsend for us.  Michelle turned my son’s ability around with her skilled teaching and true belief in him.  He thankfully passed first time after receiving the tuition from her and I really cannot thank her enough in being able to take my son onto the next level.  He also learned some life skills in revision and being able to achieve something if you have the right people with the skill and attitude to support you.

(Mrs M D-C, mother of GCSE Maths student)

Even though I doubted myself.  Michelle believed I could pass and six months later I did end up passing.  After 5 times trying to do it on my own Michelle got me through it.  I could not have done it without her.

(Mr G D-C, Maths GCSE student)

We would like to thank you for all the support and help you gave C to get him through his Maths GCSE.  What a result!

Mrs A. G (mother of GCSE Maths student)

Thanks for all you are doing Michelle -the boys love you and both find you truly inspirational

Mrs S. C (mother of  Year 11 and Year 13 Mathematics students)

Thank you for everything you have done for me. Without you I would never have been capable of getting an A in maths. Your determination and motivation as a teacher got me there and I want to thank you so so so much for that. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher!

Miss N. B (Year 13 A Level Mathematics student)

My daughter is a natural mathematician but throughout her time at school she was gradually failing.  Finally after very disappointing A Level predicted grade exams and having collected a C in AS Maths we sought help.   She was diagnosed with Asperger’s and associated problems.

Halfway through her final year we finally found Michelle.   After only 3 weeks with Michelle my daughter who had thought she simply couldn’t ‘get’ Stats declared it ‘obvious and easy’.    Then Michelle began to help across the other maths modules, and resits of her AS papers.   My daughter’s pleasure at her transformed performance in those exams has been a delight to see.    I am in no doubt that had she had a little longer with Michelle she would have walked through A levels to an A*.

Michelle has been always been helpful and accommodating to our varying times.   She has a real zeal for the subject, and to see her student realise their potential.   My socially awkward daughter has found her very comfortable to talk to and work with.   I would happily recommend Michelle as a maths tutor to anyone and particularly to those with extra needs.

Mrs A. B (mother of Year 13 A Level Mathematics student)

“Very happy to tailor the lessons to match the needs of the student and really helpful at building confidence. Would highly recommend.”

Miss S. S  (Year 13 A Level Economics student)

“I can’t rate these tutors highly enough. They are excellent at explaining things clearly and building confidence. Would definitely recommend!”

Mrs K. B (mother of Year 11 GCSE Mathematics student)

“Very good and caring:  5/5”

Mr S. R  (Year 13 A Level Economics student)
